This article walks you through how to reset the password for a Hytale account that uses the Email & Password login method. Use it if you already have a Hytale account but can't sign in because you've forgotten your password. Follow the steps below to recover access to your account.
Before you begin: if you've lost access to your email inbox, or you can't remember which email your account is registered with, your account can't be recovered using this method. In that case, please contact our support team for further assistance.
Step 1: Open the Hytale login page
Go to hytale.com and click Account in the top-right corner of the page.
Step 2: Select "Forgot password"
You'll see all of the available login options. No matter which method you originally used, click Forgot password just below the login options.
The option you used last is marked Last Used. We recommend trying that method first. If it doesn't get you back in, continue with the steps below.
Step 3: Request a recovery link
On the Recover Account screen, enter the email address your Hytale account is registered with, then click Email me a recovery link.
Note: if you don't remember your registered email address, you won't be able to recover your account.
Step 4: Open the recovery email
Check your inbox for an email titled Reset Your Hytale Account Password, then click Reset My Password. If you don't see the email, check your spam or junk folder. You can also request a new link from the recovery screen.
Note: this link expires 60 minutes after it's sent and can only be used once. If you request a new link, any earlier link stops working.
Step 5: Set a new password
The link takes you to a new area, where you can choose a password. Pick a strong, unique password. For tips, see How to keep your Hytale account secure.

Once your new password is saved, you'll be taken back to your account details. You've successfully recovered your account.
