How to Download and Play Hytale

Hardware Requirements

Hytale is currently available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. For more details, please refer to our Hytale Hardware Requirements page.
 

Where to Download Hytale

Hytale can be downloaded from our website here: https://accounts.hytale.com/download. It automatically detects your current OS, but you can select a different one at the bottom. 
 

For security reasons, always download the Hytale Launcher from the official Hytale website. For more information about account security, please refer to our How to keep your Hytale account secure article.

How to Install the Hytale Launcher

Windows

After downloading the Hytale Launcher, double-click it to launch the installer. Click "Next", choose your installation folder, then select your game folder and click "Install".
 

When the installation completes, click "Finish" to open the Hytale Launcher automatically.

macOS

After downloading the Hytale Launcher for macOS, click on the file to open the installation dialog, and drag it into your Applications folder.

Linux

Open your Terminal and run this command:

flatpak install hytale-launcher-latest.flatpak 

Then run this command to open your launcher:

flatpak run com.hypixel.HytaleLauncher
 

You may need to install Flatpak first. Please check your Linux distribution's documentation for details.
 

How to Install Hytale

Open your Hytale Launcher and click Install to download and install the game. Hytale will be released on January 13th, 2026.

 

Selecting Your Game Profile

You can select a different game profile from the top-right of the Hytale Launcher.

 

How to Uninstall Hytale

You can uninstall both Hytale and the Hytale Launcher separately or together, depending on your operating system.
 

Uninstalling The Game

You can uninstall the game directly from the Hytale Launcher settings panel - click the settings button in the top corner and select Uninstall.
 

Many options are available in this panel, but to continue with the uninstallation, select the Uninstall button again.

Your game is now uninstalled.

 

Uninstalling the Hytale Launcher

Windows

To uninstall the launcher on Windows, click the Start button, search for "Hytale", right-click the app, and select Uninstall. Follow the Uninstall Wizard to choose whether to keep your game files and data. By default, the game and the launcher will be removed.

macOS

To uninstall the launcher on macOS, head to your Applications folder, then right-click the Hytale Launcher and select Move to Trash. For more help deleting apps on macOS, review Apple's guidance on deleting or uninstalling apps on Mac.


Linux

Open your Terminal and run this command to uninstall Hytale:

flatpak uninstall com.hypixel.HytaleLauncher
