Joining the Official Hytale Discord

Hytale has only one official Discord server, which you can join using the link below. Any other servers claiming to be affiliated with Hytale are not associated with us. Please do not share any personal information, as the Hytale team will never ask for it!

 

The Hytale Discord is the central hub for the Hytale community. Where players come together to stay informed on the latest Hytale news, share ideas, and show off anything they are working on.

Joining the Official Hytale Discord

  1. Click the official Hytale Discord invite link listed above. This will open Discord in your browser or the desktop app. When prompted, select Accept Invite to join the server.

  2. After joining the Discord server, you will be asked a few questions and to review the server rules before you can access the Discord server. Once these steps are completed, you will have access to the official Hytale Discord server!

 

We cannot monitor or take action on private DMs. If someone impersonates staff or sends you a phishing link, please report and block them immediately. We recommend reading over our article on How to Keep Your Hytale Account Secure.

If this happens within our Discord server, report them using our /report system. If it happens anywhere else, please report them directly to Discord.

 

Sync your Hytale account to Discord

Your Discord role is automatically assigned based on the Hytale edition you own. To get started, simply sync your Hytale account to Discord. If you have more than one game profile on your account, you'll be assigned the role for your highest edition.

 

Players are not required to sync their accounts, however, accounts that are not synced will not be able to view select Discord channels or receive a game edition role.

 

  1. Head over to your account settings at https://accounts.hytale.com/settings and click the Join button in the Discord connection under Account Connections.

  2. Clicking this button will open up a window for you to sync your Discord account to your Hytale account by clicking Sync Roles.

  3. It will open a Discord invitation link, or the application if you’re already logged in, and ask you to allow the Hytale Discord Server access to the provided account details.

 

And you're done! You are now synced and connected to the Hytale Discord!
 

Protecting your Discord account

Keeping your Discord account safe is important, especially in large communities like Hytale! Here are some simple steps you can take to stay protected!

  • Always check the URL (address bar): When clicking on any links on the internet, always check the link to ensure it is what you expect. If it is anything else, it is likely a phishing link with the site designed in such a way as to steal your personal information, such as your login details. You should be careful when clicking on those links and make sure NOT to download anything from strangers.
  • Use a strong password: Make sure your password is unique to your Discord account and isn't used on any other website or service. A combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols will help keep your account secure.
  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Adding 2FA provides an extra layer of security. Even if someone learns your password, they won't be able to access your account without your authentication code. You can enable this in Discord Settings → My Account → Authenticator App.
  • Watch out for phishing scams: If something sounds too good to be true, such as free Discord Nitro, exclusive rewards, early access invites, or messages claiming you've been specially selected, it is likely a scam designed to steal your account or personal information.
  • Be cautious with direct messages and links: Never click links or download files from people you don't know or trust, even if they claim to represent Discord, Hytale, or another trusted service. When in doubt, verify the source before interacting with any links or attachments.

Common issues

My Discord role hasn't updated after upgrading my edition

If you've upgraded your Hytale edition but your Discord role hasn't changed, you'll need to resync your account. To do this, return to your Hytale account settings and click "Join" again to refresh your role.

I have multiple roles assigned to my Discord account

Having multiple roles can occur in certain situations and is completely normal. This will not cause any issues or negatively affect your account.
